Gore Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges Following OSBI Investigation

GORE, OK — A disturbing arrest has shaken the small community of Gore, Oklahoma, as authorities confirm that 38-year-old Heath Corey Spears has been taken into custody on charges related to child pornography. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) announced Spears’ arrest on Tuesday, following a detailed probe initiated by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

According to the OSBI, the investigation began when NCMEC flagged potential child sexual abuse material linked to an internet user believed to be operating out of Oklahoma. That tip was routed to OSBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, which immediately began looking into the origin of the illicit content.

Special agents were able to trace the activity to Spears, a resident of Gore, a quiet town located in Sequoyah County. Acting swiftly, law enforcement executed a search warrant on June 17, 2025, targeting Spears’ electronic devices. Authorities located Spears at his place of business, where a forensic review of his mobile device allegedly uncovered child sexual abuse material.

Following the discovery, Spears was arrested without incident and booked into the Sequoyah County Jail. He is now facing charges for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material as well as Violations of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, both of which carry serious legal consequences under Oklahoma law.

The OSBI emphasized its ongoing commitment to identifying and apprehending individuals who exploit children online. “Protecting our most vulnerable citizens is a priority,” the agency stated. “We will continue to work alongside national partners like NCMEC to ensure that those who engage in these horrific crimes are brought to justice.”

At this time, the investigation remains active, and additional charges could be filed depending on the results of a full forensic analysis of Spears’ digital media. Authorities have not released further information regarding the scope of the material allegedly in Spears’ possession or whether any local children may have been involved.

Spears remains in custody at the Sequoyah County Jail as the judicial process begins. Bond details and court dates have not yet been released to the public.

Anyone with additional information related to this case or concerns about potential child exploitation is urged to contact the OSBI or the NCMEC CyberTipline.

This case serves as another sobering reminder of the critical role technology plays in both enabling and combating crimes against children — and the vigilance required to keep communities safe.
