The close-knit community of Fair Haven and the Anchor Bay School District is enveloped in sorrow following the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Logan Wilhelm, a vibrant young student at Anchor Bay High School. Logan’s unexpected passing has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew and loved him—his family, friends, teachers, and peers alike.

Described by classmates as kind-hearted, loyal, and deeply genuine, Logan was more than just a student—he was a presence. Whether he was helping a fellow classmate with homework, cheering from the stands at school sporting events, or simply walking the halls with his trademark smile, Logan left a mark on everyone he met.

He was the kind of person who made others feel seen, valued, and accepted—no matter who they were. Teachers often praised Logan for his respectful attitude, strong work ethic, and quiet determination. He was the sort of young man who inspired hope for the future, someone whose light radiated even on the most ordinary days.

At Anchor Bay High School, the atmosphere is somber as friends and staff struggle to come to terms with the reality of this loss. Counselors have been made available for students coping with the grief, and support is being extended across the district to ensure that no one has to face this pain alone.

“Logan was an amazing young man,” one of his teachers shared. “He was thoughtful, driven, and had this wonderful sense of humor that made you smile, even on a hard day. His absence will be felt in every corner of this building.”

Logan’s friends describe him as a devoted friend, a great listener, and someone you could always count on. His compassion extended far beyond his immediate circle—he was someone who looked out for the quiet kid, stood up for others, and made it a point to treat everyone with dignity and kindness.

Outside of school, Logan loved spending time with his family, gaming with his friends, and enjoying the outdoors. He was a young man full of potential, with dreams yet to be fulfilled and adventures yet to be had.

His passing has sparked an outpouring of love and support on social media, with classmates, neighbors, and strangers alike sharing heartfelt messages and fond memories:

As the community gathers to honor Logan’s life, a candlelight vigil is being planned at the school’s football field, where friends, teachers, and loved ones will come together to share stories, prayers, and memories. In addition, a memorial scholarship fund is being established in Logan’s name to support students pursuing education in areas that he was passionate about.

To his family, Logan was a beloved son, grandson, and brother, whose laughter filled their home and whose absence is now a silence impossible to bear. To his friends, he was the one who brought calm to chaos. To his teachers, he was a promise of everything good that youth can offer. And to his community, Logan Wilhelm was a light gone too soon—but never forgotten.
