Today, my heart is weighed down with sorrow as we come to grips with the devastating loss of a dedicated public servant—one who devoted his life to protecting and serving his community. In this time of grief, my thoughts and prayers are deeply with the family, friends, and fellow Hamilton County Deputies who are mourning the senseless and tragic death of a true hero.
This act of aggravated murder has not only taken away a courageous Deputy but has also stolen from our community a steadfast protector, someone who stood at the front lines, ready to defend us all. His life was cut short by violence, leaving a hole in the hearts of those who knew him, worked with him, and admired his unwavering commitment to justice.
The loss of this brave individual is a stark reminder of the sacrifices made every single day by law enforcement officers.
