Apple Valley, MN — The Apple Valley Police Department has identified a suspect in connection with the fatal stabbing that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, July 6, 2025. The victim, an adult male, was found deceased at the scene after suffering multiple stab wounds. Authorities are actively searching for Aron Isait Medina Rojas, who has been named as the primary suspect in this homicide case.
At approximately 3:12 a.m. on July 6, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Pennock Avenue and 138th Street after a report of a person lying on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, police found the male victim covered in blood with a stab wound to the chest. Officers performed lifesaving measures, but the victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting the autopsy, and the identity of the victim will be released following confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Following a developing investigation and evidence collected at the scene, detectives have identified Aron Isait Medina Rojas (DOB: 02/10/2005) as the individual responsible for the fatal stabbing. Medina Rojas is believed to be attempting to flee to Mexico to avoid capture.
He is associated with a 2017 gray Chrysler 300 bearing Minnesota license plate JPU 845, registered in his name. It is not confirmed whether he is still using this vehicle. Medina Rojas is described as a young Hispanic male who wears thick prescription eyeglasses. He is to be considered armed and dangerous, and authorities urge the public not to approach him under any circumstances. If seen, please call 911 immediately.
