MILWAUKEE, WI — A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the abduction of 7-year-old Jamal White, also known as “Baby J,” who was reported missing on July 11.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Corey Williams.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, Jamal was last seen around 7:00 p.m. near 61st and Hustis Streets.
Witnesses reported that the child was taken at gunpoint and forced into a white Jeep Renegade by a male suspect dressed in a black hoodie, black face mask, and armed with a handgun.
An Amber Alert was issued shortly after his disappearance.
Jamal was later located safely on the afternoon of Saturday near 39th and Lloyd Streets.

Police confirmed that Williams was found with the child at the time of his recovery.
The investigation remains active as police work to determine the full extent of Williams’ involvement and to identify any additional suspects.
Jamal was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
He is described as 4 feet tall, weighing approximately 80 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
