A woman lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in South Richmond on Monday night, July 21, 2025. The Richmond Police Department identified the victim as Angela Gibbs, a 41-year-old resident of Richmond, on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 2900 block of Bells Road. According to authorities, officers arrived at the scene and found Gibbs unresponsive in the roadway. She was immediately transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries later that night.
The Richmond Police Department’s Crash Team investigation determined that Gibbs was walking in the roadway at the time of the collision. The vehicle involved in the crash had two occupants, both of whom remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. As of now, no charges have been filed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
