15-Year-Old Shot, Found Wounded Outside Weimar, Texas Exxon Station: Investigation Underway

WEIMAR, TX — Authorities in Weimar are actively investigating a shooting incident involving a 15-year-old juvenile male who was discovered injured outside a local gas station early Wednesday morning. According to the Weimar Police Department (WPD), officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Exxon gas station known as “On the Road”, located on the outskirts of town, shortly after 7:20 a.m. on June 11, 2025.

When officers arrived, they found a young Black male with no shirt on, visibly distressed and clutching his side. Police quickly determined that the teen had suffered a single gunshot wound. Emergency responders treated him at the scene before transporting him to an area hospital for further medical care. His current condition has not been disclosed.

Shooting Believed to Have Happened Elsewhere

While the victim was found in the parking lot of the Exxon station, WPD investigators believe the shooting took place at a different, undisclosed location, and the teen was dropped off at the gas station afterward. Authorities have not yet confirmed who brought the juvenile to the scene or whether he was alone at the time of the incident.

Law enforcement is now working to identify the location where the shooting occurred, who may have been involved, and what led up to the violence. Police have not publicly released the name of the victim, citing his age and the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Community Urged to Help

As the investigation continues, the Weimar Police Department is asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information about the shooting, the events leading up to it, or any suspicious activity in the area is encouraged to come forward.

Authorities Respond to Growing Concern

This incident has sparked concern in the small Texas community, where violent crime is relatively rare. Local officials are urging parents, guardians, and youth mentors to remain vigilant, especially during the summer months when school is out and teens may have less supervision.

The Weimar Police Department has not said whether the shooting appears to be gang-related or if the victim was targeted. As of now, no suspects have been identified or arrested, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.

Ongoing Updates

Police continue to canvass nearby areas for surveillance footage and witness statements that could help piece together the events that led to the teenager’s injury. Updates are expected as detectives make progress in the investigation.

Anyone who saw anything unusual near the Exxon on the morning of June 11, or who may have seen the juvenile before or after the shooting, is urged to contact law enforcement immediately.

The Weimar Police Department reminds the public that all leads, no matter how small, can be critical in helping solve violent crimes and protect the community.
