KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ongoing Homicide Investigation Following June 14 Shooting at 35th and Prospect
The Kansas City Police Department has confirmed that a second victim from a June 14, 2025, shooting at 35th Street and Prospect Avenue has died from his injuries.
On the night of the incident, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area.
One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene, and multiple other victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
On June 30, investigators were notified that one of the injured victims—identified as 44-year-old Ronnie Hardman (DOB: 09/05/1980)—succumbed to his injuries.
This case is now being investigated as a double homicide.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
