The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified Jacob Windsor, a 50-year-old Beloit resident, as the victim of a fatal crash that occurred last week. The agency confirmed that Windsor succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident, which took place around 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at the intersection of Portland Avenue and Moore Street in Beloit, Wisconsin.

According to the Beloit Police Department, the crash involved a collision between a three-wheeled motorcycle, commonly referred to as a trike-style motorcycle, and an SUV. The impact caused Windsor, the motorcycle rider, to be ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office completed a forensic examination on July 10, with additional testing still in progress to further determine the circumstances surrounding Windsor’s death.

The driver of the SUV, a 43-year-old woman from Beloit, remained at the scene and has been fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to police reports. Authorities found no initial evidence of impairment from drugs or alcohol. The SUV driver was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, resulting in death.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with the investigation, conducting an accident reconstruction to provide further clarity on the events leading to the crash. The investigation remains active as officials continue to gather details.
