Upon arriving at the scene, officers found 17-year-old Kiari Cunningham suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders provided immediate medical attention, and Cunningham was rushed to ECU Health Medical Center. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
