The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting an inquiry following the discovery of a body inside a burning vehicle south of Pueblo early Monday morning.
At approximately 1:00 a.m. on May 26, 2025, a passerby reported a car fully engulfed in flames on the west side of the frontage road parallel to Interstate 25. The Pueblo Fire Department responded promptly and extinguished the fire. Upon doing so, they found a deceased individual inside the vehicle.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin and further investigation. The CBI, in collaboration with local law enforcement, is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this case to contact the Colorado Bureau of Investigation or the Pueblo Police Department.
