With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, the Salinas community mourns the heartbreaking loss of Emma Victoria Garcia, who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the tender age of 16. Her sudden departure has left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, classmates, and all those fortunate enough to know her.
Emma was a bright light — full of joy, compassion, and hope for the future. Known for her radiant smile, gentle heart, and uplifting presence, Emma brought warmth and laughter wherever she went. Her kind spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met, and her memory will continue to inspire love and resilience in her community.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted parents, Jenovie Valdez and Andre Carrillo, and her cherished brothers, Andre and Evan Carrillo. The bond Emma shared with her family was one of unwavering love and closeness, and her absence is deeply felt by them and all who stood by their side.

•Visitation will be held at Alta Vista Mortuary on Thursday, June 27, 2025, where loved ones can pay their respects and reflect on the beautiful life Emma lived.
•A Funeral Mass to honor her memory will take place on Friday, June 28, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church, offering a space for prayer, comfort, and celebration of her life.
