It is with heavy hearts that the community of South Glens Falls, New York, mourns the unexpected passing of Geoff N. Holmquist, age 44, who departed this life at his home on July 9, 2025. Born on November 27, 1980, in Glens Falls, Geoff was a man who lived life with passion, spirit, and heart, touching the lives of everyone who knew him.

Geoff was best known for his love of the open road and the great outdoors. A true enthusiast of motorcycles and cars, he found joy in the roar of an engine and the freedom of a ride. He also had a deep appreciation for fishing, camping, and spending time in nature, where he felt most at peace. Whether casting a line or sitting around a campfire, Geoff embraced simple moments and built memories that will live on in the hearts of those closest to him.

To his family, Geoff was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Holmquist, who stood by his side through all of life’s seasons; his daughter, Hailey, who brought him immense pride; and his beloved granddaughter, Lakelynn, who lit up his world. Geoff’s passing leaves a void not only in the hearts of his immediate family but among the many relatives and friends who knew his humor, kindness, and generosity.

Friends describe Geoff as someone who could strike up a conversation with anyone, always quick with a joke, a helping hand, or a story about his latest project or adventure. His passion for life and genuine care for others were his trademarks—he was someone who showed up when it mattered, someone whose presence made others feel seen and valued.

A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Geoff’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Maplewood Parkway Methodist Church. All who knew him are welcome to attend, share memories, and support one another as the community comes together in remembrance.
