In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Maylen Schmoll (1993–2025)
Sterling, Alaska – April 17, 2025
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Maylen Schmoll, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who departed this life on April 17, 2025, in Sterling, Alaska at the age of 31. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on those who knew him will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
Born in 1993, Jeffrey grew up with a deep connection to nature and a warm, generous spirit that drew people to him. He was known for his quick wit, unshakable loyalty, and ability to find humor even in the hardest times. Whether working on projects, helping a neighbor, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, Jeffrey brought a sense of calm and joy that left a lasting impression.
Jeffrey made his home in Sterling, Alaska, where he found peace in the surrounding beauty of the wilderness. Those who knew him well will remember how much he loved fishing the Kenai River, hiking through quiet trails, or just sitting beneath the vast Alaskan sky. He was someone who appreciated the simple things — a good cup of coffee, a campfire with friends, and time spent with family.
He is survived by many who loved him deeply and continue to carry his memory in their hearts. His loss is felt not only in Alaska but across state lines, where friends and family mourn the gentle soul they were privileged to know.
A funeral service to honor Jeffrey’s life will be held on June 21, 2025, at the Lions Club in Leeton, Missouri. All who knew Jeffrey are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who was kind, genuine, and unforgettable. The service will be a time of reflection, remembrance, and comfort for those grieving his loss.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those wishing to honor Jeffrey to consider acts of kindness in their communities — something he believed in deeply.
During this time of mourning, we ask that everyone keep Jeffrey’s family and loved ones in their thoughts and prayers. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him and the stories they share.
