In Loving Memory of Marc Piccolino (1979–2025): Beloved Husband, Father, Friend, and Community Pillar
Pittsburgh, PA – June 24, 2025 — The Pittsburgh community is reeling from the devastating and sudden loss of Marc Piccolino, who passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2025, at the age of 45. A deeply respected and admired figure, Marc’s death has cast a long shadow of sorrow over all who knew him — from colleagues and friends to his adoring family, who now face a world without his unwavering presence and love.
Born in 1979, Marc was the embodiment of dedication, humility, and compassion. Throughout his life, he wore many hats — a loving husband, a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a committed professional — and wore each one with an authenticity and heart that inspired all around him. His sudden departure has left an indelible void, especially in the lives of his beloved wife, Lyndsey, and their two cherished daughters, Sydney (14) and Brooke (11), who were the light of his life and his proudest legacy.
Marc’s commitment to his family was unwavering. He was present in every sense of the word — from coaching youth sports and helping with school projects, to simply being there with open arms at the end of a long day. He adored his daughters, Sydney and Brooke, celebrating their every accomplishment and nurturing their dreams with pride, humor, and tenderness. To Lyndsey, his soulmate and partner in life, Marc was a foundation of strength, laughter, and unconditional love. Their bond was evident to all who knew them, and their journey together was one of genuine partnership, resilience, and joy.
Professionally, Marc was admired for his integrity, expertise, and leadership. Whether in the boardroom, in the field, or mentoring others, he earned the respect of peers and clients alike. He believed in hard work, but also in kindness, fairness, and doing the right thing, even when it wasn’t the easiest path. He left an impression not just through the success he achieved, but through the lives he impacted with his character and generosity.
But it was perhaps outside the workplace where Marc’s spirit truly soared. A lifelong Pittsburgher, he had an infectious love for the city’s sports teams, cherished its traditions, and believed in giving back to the community that shaped him. He was an active supporter of local charities and youth programs, always ready to lend a hand or make a difference, often without any desire for recognition.
Friends remember Marc as someone with a magnetic personality — warm, witty, and loyal to the core. He had an innate ability to make people feel valued and heard, to brighten a room with his smile, and to bring people together, whether over a Steelers game or a backyard barbecue. He was the person you could always count on — the one who showed up, no matter what.
As word of his passing spread, the outpouring of grief and love has been immense. Tributes have poured in from every corner of Marc’s life — former classmates, co-workers, neighbors, and teammates — each sharing stories of kindness, wisdom, laughter, and quiet acts of compassion that Marc so freely gave. His legacy is one of love in action — in the way he cared for his family, served his community, and uplifted everyone around him.
Funeral arrangements are currently being made, and details of a memorial service will be announced soon. In lieu of flowers, the Piccolino family asks that donations be made to a scholarship fund being established in Marc’s honor — a tribute that will help support young people in pursuit of education, leadership, and community service, values Marc held dear.
As the city of Pittsburgh grieves this unimaginable loss, there is comfort in the memory of who Marc Piccolino was: a man of integrity, laughter, strength, and heart. His life, though tragically cut short, was lived fully and meaningfully — and his spirit will continue to live on through his wife, his daughters, and all those who had the honor of knowing him.
May his memory forever be a blessing.
