Dubuque, Iowa – April 26, 2025
Mitchell Louis Loso, a beloved member of the Dubuque community, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and presence of his devoted family. He was a man whose life was filled with quiet strength, enduring love, and a spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. After a courageous battle with ongoing health issues, Mitchell’s journey on this earth came to a graceful close, but his legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
Born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, Mitchell lived a life deeply rooted in family values, personal passions, and unwavering loyalty to the people and pastimes he held dear. Above all else, Mitchell’s heart belonged to his family. He took great pride in being a father and grandfather, and his three beloved grandchildren were truly the lights of his life. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines, offering life advice, or simply sharing a laugh, Mitchell’s role as a grandfather was one he cherished wholeheartedly.
Mitchell was known for his lifelong love of sports, not just as a fan, but as a passionate collector of sports cards. His extensive collection was not only a source of personal joy but a way he connected with others, sharing stories and swapping cards with fellow enthusiasts. Sports were more than a hobby—they were a bridge to memories, relationships, and community.
Equally important in Mitchell’s life was his love for music, especially the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. Their powerful lyrics and iconic sound provided a soundtrack to many meaningful moments in his life. Whether playing records at home or sharing songs with loved ones, Mitchell’s appreciation for music was an integral part of his vibrant personality.
To those who knew him, Mitchell will be remembered as a man of quiet integrity, a kind soul who found joy in life’s simple pleasures—family dinners, good music, heartfelt conversation, and the thrill of finding a rare sports card. He had a calming presence, a gentle sense of humor, and an unmatched devotion to the people he loved.
A private family service will be held to honor and celebrate Mitchell’s life. While his physical presence may no longer be with us, the memories, lessons, and love he gave so freely will remain etched in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Mitchell Louis Loso’s life may have ended, but his legacy endures—in the laughter of his grandchildren, in the collections he proudly built, in the music that filled his days, and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
