LAIE, HAWAIʻI — BYU–Hawaiʻi Mourns the Sudden Passing of Freshman Lachlan McQuivey
The Brigham Young University–Hawaiʻi community is in mourning following the unexpected death of freshman student Lachlan McQuivey, a promising young scholar from Massachusetts whose sudden passing has sent shockwaves through the university’s tight-knit campus in Lāʻie.
McQuivey, who had just begun his journey at BYU–Hawaiʻi, was widely known among his peers for his kindness, curiosity, and quiet strength.
