Man convicted of killing Etan Patz, one of the first boys featured on missing milk carton, gets sentence tossed
A federal appeals court on Monday ordered a new trial for Pedro Hernandez, the man convicted of killing six-year-old Etan Patz in 1979.
A three-judge panel in New York City sided with Hernandez in his appeal on his 2017 conviction, saying the trial court’s instructions to the jury were improper and prejudiced the verdict.
