Officer-Involved Shooting in West Allis Leaves Two Dead, Suspect Shot by Police After Shooting Victim
WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Authorities in West Allis are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred Sunday evening in the 1400 block of South 91st Street, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident.
According to preliminary information released by the West Allis Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers encountered an active and dangerous situation involving an armed suspect and multiple gunshot victims.
Investigators say the suspect initially shot one individual before being confronted by responding officers.
Officers then discharged their firearms, striking the suspect. Emergency responders began CPR on both the original victim and the suspect at the scene.

Despite life-saving efforts, both individuals were pronounced dead.
The deceased have been identified only as a man in his 50s and another male in his 70s.
It has not yet been clarified which of the deceased was the initial victim and which was the suspect.
Per standard protocol for officer-involved shootings, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has been contacted to lead the independent investigation.
Authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the events that led to the use of force.
