Port Orange Police Provide Update on Walgreens Shooting Incident

On the evening of Wednesday, May 7, 2025, a shooting occurred at the Walgreens located at 1625 Taylor Road in Port Orange, Florida. The Port Orange Police Department (POPD) responded promptly to the scene, initiating an active investigation

At approximately 5:26 PM, officers arrived to find the suspect deceased in the parking lot from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Inside the store, two employees had sustained gunshot injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Fortunately, a customer present during the incident was unharmed.
