HOPKINTON, NY — The Hopkinton community is grieving the devastating loss of Conner Hendershot, a young man whose life ended far too soon. His passing has left a deep ache in the hearts of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A graduate of Parishville-Hopkinton Junior-Senior High School, Conner was more than just a familiar face in town — he was a friend, a hard worker, and a beloved member of this tight-knit community. He worked as a Tree Trimmer at Nelson Tree Service, LLC, having started with the company in January 2023. He approached his work and life with quiet determination and a big heart.
Conner was especially close to the Hayes family — a constant presence at their supper table and one of Kade’s best friends. The bonds he formed were genuine and lasting. His friendships were deep, his loyalty unwavering, and his presence comforting.
A moment that captures his character and connection to this community came on the day he received his high school diploma. It was an honor, as shared by a local school board member, to be asked by Conner to personally hand him his diploma — a gesture that spoke to his thoughtfulness and the respect he had for those who supported him along the way.
The loss of such a bright and kind soul at a young age is beyond heartbreaking. Conner’s memory will live on in the stories shared around family tables, the friendships that endure, and in the hearts of those forever changed by his presence.
We extend our deepest prayers and love to the Hendershot family, and to the entire Hopkinton community as they navigate this profound grief. In times like this, we lean on one another — in sorrow, remembrance, and love.
Rest easy, Conner. You are missed more than words can say.
