Silver Alert Issued for Missing At-Risk Woman in La Habra, California

LA HABRA, Calif. — Authorities are actively searching for 66-year-old Jane Lee, a vulnerable adult who was reported missing early Thursday morning from the city of La Habra. In response, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) has issued a Silver Alert at the request of the La Habra Police Department, as serious concerns grow over Lee’s wellbeing.

Last Seen in North Orange County

Jane Lee was last seen on June 26, 2025, in La Habra, though the exact time and location remain under investigation. Law enforcement believes she may be traveling alone on foot or could have used public transportation.

She is described as an Asian female, approximately 5’3” in height, with gray hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a blue cardigan, dark pants, and black slip-on shoes. Officials noted she may also be carrying a purse or personal bag.

Classified as “At-Risk”

Jane Lee has been designated as at-risk due to medical and cognitive conditions, including signs of memory loss or early-stage dementia. Her family told police that her disappearance is highly unusual, and they are deeply concerned for her safety.

“She’s never done anything like this before. We’re terrified and just want her home,” said a family member. “Please, if anyone has seen her, contact the police immediately.”

Search Underway

The Silver Alert, activated through CHP’s emergency notification system, aims to engage the public in the search for elderly or medically vulnerable individuals. Law enforcement agencies throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties have joined the effort to locate Ms. Lee.

Local police have expanded their patrols and are searching in high-traffic public areas including parks, bus terminals, shopping centers, and hospitals. Aerial support and K-9 search teams have also been deployed in nearby neighborhoods and trail systems.

Community Assistance Requested

The La Habra Police Department urges residents to remain vigilant and report any sightings of individuals matching Jane Lee’s description. Officers emphasize that no tip is too small and that community awareness could make all the difference.

“In cases involving at-risk individuals, time is absolutely critical,” said an LHPD spokesperson. “We need the public’s help to bring Ms. Lee home safely.”

Anyone with information should immediately dial 911 or call the La Habra Police Department at (562) 383-4300.

A Community Holds Hope

As search efforts continue, Jane Lee’s family and friends are asking the public to keep watch, share her photo, and spread the word. A small detail or timely sighting could be the key to locating her.

“We’re hopeful someone will recognize her and help bring her back to us,” said a loved one. “We just want to know she’s okay.”

Updates will follow as more information becomes available. In the meantime, the public is urged to remain alert and support this critical search effort.
