St. Helena Island, South Carolina — A night meant for celebration turned tragic when gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. at Willie’s Bar and Grill, leaving multiple people shot and several others injured, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with state and federal agencies, including the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, to track down possible suspects. Detectives are also interviewing witnesses who may have seen individuals fleeing the scene immediately after the gunfire erupted.
