To be clear… we don’t know that it was a drunk driver. What we do know is they were reckless and left our brother in the street alone. 😔 So, if you’re praying—pray justice comes swiftly!
Life has a way of throwing unexpected, painful challenges our way. Sometimes, it’s a reminder that the world doesn’t always make sense, that bad things happen to good people, and that we are forced to face the aftermath of tragedy without the answers we need or deserve. But, in this moment, as we hold onto hope, I feel it’s important to speak truthfully and with clarity.
First, let me be clear: We do not know for sure if the person who caused this accident was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. That is still a matter for investigation, and until we know more, we cannot jump to conclusions. However, what we do know is that the individual responsible was reckless, driving in a manner that endangered lives, and then showed a shocking disregard for human life by leaving our brother in the street alone, in a vulnerable and helpless state. This is not just a traffic incident. This is a failure of humanity.
What’s perhaps even harder to grasp is that our brother was left there, abandoned in the street. No attempt was made to help him, no effort was made to ensure that he received medical attention immediately after the accident. That is the part that haunts us. That is the part that feels unforgivable. Because in that moment, our brother wasn’t just a victim of reckless driving; he was a victim of someone’s choice to turn away from responsibility, to act as if another person’s life didn’t matter. He was left to fight for his life alone, and that is something that no one should ever have to experience.
So, now, we find ourselves asking for justice. Not just because our brother deserves it, but because the world needs to know that actions like this have consequences. People need to understand that reckless behavior, especially when it causes harm to others, cannot and will not go unchecked.
We are asking for justice, but we are not simply asking for punishment. We’re asking for accountability. We’re asking for the truth. We’re asking for the kind of justice that acknowledges the pain, the devastation, and the damage that reckless actions have caused. It’s not just about holding someone responsible; it’s about ensuring that this kind of thing doesn’t happen to anyone else, that we do everything we can to make sure others don’t find themselves in the same heartbreaking situation.
For those of you who are praying, we ask for you to pray with us. We pray for strength, for guidance, and most importantly, for swift justice. Pray for the truth to be revealed, for our brother to receive the justice he deserves, and for this case to be handled with the seriousness it deserves. Pray for the person responsible to face the consequences of their actions—whether that be through legal avenues or a deeper, personal reckoning with the damage they’ve caused.
We also ask for prayer for healing—healing for our brother, for his mind, body, and spirit. And for the rest of us who are left in the wake of this tragedy, we ask for healing for our hearts. We ask for the strength to keep going, to hold onto each other, and to navigate this painful journey with as much grace and courage as possible.
We may not have all the answers right now, but we are not going to stop searching for them. We will stand strong, we will keep fighting, and we will keep asking for justice until it is served. We hope that anyone reading this, anyone who might have witnessed something or knows something, will step forward and do what is right.
We may not know everything about what happened that night, but one thing is clear: Our brother’s life matters. He deserves justice, and we will not rest until he gets it.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, offered kind words, and prayed with us. We feel the strength of your support, and we are so grateful for it. Let’s keep pushing for justice, together.
