A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of 53-year-old Johnston resident Jammy Weaver on Friday night, May 16, 2025, in Aiken County, South Carolina. The fatal incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Edgefield Road (U.S. 25) and Sweetwater Road, just outside North Augusta.

Accident Details

According to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office, Weaver was riding his 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Edgefield Road when he struck a utility line that had fallen across the roadway. This incident underscores the importance of roadway safety and the need for prompt reporting and addressing of hazards such as downed utility lines. Authorities urge drivers and riders to remain vigilant and report any roadway obstructions to prevent future tragedies.
