WALKER, La. (WAFB) – Walker Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges Following Investigation
Authorities in Walker, Louisiana, have arrested a local man on charges related to the possession of child pornography. Walker Police Chief David Addison confirmed on Wednesday that 52-year-old Brian Michael Louviere has been taken into custody following an extensive investigation that spanned several months.
The investigation reportedly began in November 2024, after the Walker Police Department received a tip from a credible source indicating that Louviere was in possession of pornographic materials involving minors. The tip led investigators to open a case and begin a thorough inquiry into the allegations.
According to Chief Addison, detectives worked diligently over the course of several weeks to corroborate the information provided. As part of the investigation, police obtained and executed multiple search warrants for Louviere’s residence, as well as for his digital devices and computer equipment.
“We subsequently obtained search warrants for Louviere’s home, various digital devices and computer equipment, resulting in the discovery of the juvenile pornography materials and the arrest of Mr. Louviere,” Addison said in a formal statement.
Upon execution of the search warrants, investigators recovered what authorities describe as a collection of pornographic images involving minors, confirming the suspicions that initiated the investigation. The precise number of images and the extent of Louviere’s collection has not yet been released, as the case remains active and under further review.
Following the discovery, Louviere was taken into custody without incident and has since been booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Authorities say he is facing multiple counts of possession of child pornography, and additional charges may be pending as forensic analysis of the seized digital devices continues.
Chief Addison emphasized the seriousness with which his department treats such cases and commended the work of his investigators for their persistence and professionalism. “These types of crimes are deeply disturbing, and our department will always pursue justice for the most vulnerable members of our community—our children,” he stated.
The Walker Police Department is also working closely with state and federal law enforcement agencies to determine whether the case may be linked to any broader network or ongoing investigations in other jurisdictions.
Authorities are urging anyone with additional information related to this case or similar activity to contact the Walker Police Department. They stress the importance of community vigilance in helping to identify and stop the exploitation of minors.
As of this writing, Brian Michael Louviere remains in custody, and it is unclear whether he has secured legal representation. A court date has not yet been announced, but officials say they are preparing to present the findings to the district attorney’s office for formal prosecution.
