Willis Police Investigating Fatal Shooting on Laurie Lane; One Dead, Suspect Cooperating

WILLIS, TEXAS — A quiet Sunday evening in Willis turned tragic on June 22, 2025, when a fatal shooting claimed the life of one individual in a residential neighborhood. At approximately 6:15 p.m., the Willis Police Department received multiple calls reporting gunfire in the 100 block of Laurie Lane, prompting a swift and multi-agency emergency response.

Upon arrival, Willis officers discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began administering life-saving measures, and medics from the Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD) quickly arrived on the scene to take over emergency care.
